Established in 2007, Fero Maltech Industries (M) Sdn Bhd (FMI) is a flexible plastic manufacturing company located in Kelantan, Malaysia. Today, FMI engaged primarily in the manufacture of laminated plastic food packaging such as 3 sides sealed rice packaging, stand up pouch for coffee , centre sealed bag for snacks, keropok and noodle. Other than these, FMI also manufacturing high volume of carrier bags such as HM singlet bag, PP singlet bag, PP punch handle hole and belt handle bag for supermarket, hypermarket, retails and boutique. 

 

FMI was originated in year 1991, established as Maltech Industrial Supplies -  a packaging & offset printing company founded by Mr Ooi Hock Boon (also current FMI managing director). With strong commitment to high quality products and attentive customer service, the company has thrived toward rapid growth throughout the years. In 2005, Maltech Industrial Supplies was convert to Fero Maltech (M) Sdn Bhd  (FM) and later on in 2007, FMI was established together with the manufacturing plant Mr Ooi acquired in Pengkalan Chepa, Kota Bharu, Kelantan (current HQ). Within 2007 to 2016, FMI have increased its production line from plastic extrusion, printing, sealing and cutting, to capable of lamination, produce many variety of flexible packaging and plastic recycling. 

 

While FMI established, FM continuing focus on handling offset printing business. In 2008, FM ventured in corporate gifts and uniforms business, and after that, in 2011, Fero Welltech (M) Sdn Bhd was established at Ampang Selangor as our branch. Due to the expansion of business, In year 2017, Mr Ooi acquired second manufacturing plant just opposite the current HQ. The expanding of business and manufacturing plant causes significant increase of the electricity during the production process. All of this energy constitutes a major overhead cost for the organization, in addition to contributing to a significant amount of pollution to power the plant. Considering the cost, energy and pollution incurred, in 2019, we successfully install Solar PV system in our manufacturing plant.

These few years, we are planning to adopt more green technology and work toward digital transformation. Together with the transformation planning, we are also striving toward export market with a mission to provide the best quality of flexible packaging with lower price possible in Asia; and vision to be the most trusted and most preferred flexible packaging manufacturer in Asia.
